Monthly Student Membership Data

Student membership is reported to the state monthly, effective the end of each School Month. A School Month represents a 20-day interval of actual student days (days in which students are expected to be in attendance). Membership data is transmitted electronically to the NC Department of Public Instruction, via the Principal's Monthly Report (PMR).

About our District


Our district encompasses Nash County and parts of Edgecombe county. Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools has 27 school sites and centers including 19 elementary, 5 middle, 4 high, 1 early college high school and 1 alternative school. More than 16,000 students are enrolled, with a diverse student body. The district is the largest employer in Nash and Edgecombe County with over 2100 employees. More than half of those are employed as teachers.
