Cardinal Weekly Announcement
Week of Oct. 16
This week in collaboration with the Nashville Police Department we are going to try to make our morning car rider drop off safer and more efficient for parents and students. Car riders will still drop off in the back however the police on duty will direct cars to two different drop off points. Our drop offs for students with special needs will remain the same however that back parking lot will also have some additional cars dropping off as well. This should help reduce the high traffic flow of cars in the one line that we currently have. Our car rider drop off is from 7:40-8:15. We cannot have any students dropped off after 8:15. Therefore if you arrive at school after 8:15 then you will need to park in front on E. Virginia St and walk your child to the office. If you plan to walk your child up to the building in the morning between 8:00-8:15 then that should be done by parking on E. Virginia St. and walking them across the street to the building as well. Dropping students off on E. Virginia St. poses a safety risk and cannot be permitted. Thank you to everyone for your efforts to help us make this process more efficient and most importantly safe for your children and our students

Student HandbooksAs we all know, we are living in a digital world and it makes sound financial sense to provide our resources in a digital platform when possible. Handbooks have been a costly items for our school district over the years. The school district has placed a digital copy of the handbook on the NRMS website, which is accessible to all parents who have internet connection. We are still sending the Media Release, Procedures for Social Media, and Acknowledgement of Review of the Handbook signature forms for all students/parents to sign. It is the responsibility of the parents to review the handbook online or by attaining a hard copy. Below is the link to the 2017-2018 Student Handbook.

As your students have probably told you, our school will be participating in the Box Tops for Education™ program again this year. This program is an easy way to help raise money for our school. All you have to do is clip Box Tops for Education™ from food boxes, cans, jars, etc. and turn them into your child's teacher. Once we send in all our Box Tops, our school will receive a check from Box Tops for Education™ in December and can use this cash to buy the things we need. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Linda Carter (our Box Top Coordinator) at firstname.lastname@example.org or 252.451.2877. Our school receives two checks from the Box Tops for Education™ program each school year. If you turn in your Box Tops before October 28 you can help boost the amount of the first check we receive in December. Our school’s Box Tops have to be submitted by November 3 to be included in our December check. Hurry, clip your Box Tops and turn them in before the deadline. Thanks for your help! Thanks for your help!
