    Good Evening Cardinal Parents,
Monday March 18th and Tuesday March 19th are teacher workdays so there is no school for students.  Thats tomorrow and Tuesday.  We will see all our Cardinals back at school on Wednesday the 20th.  We are hosting our Spring book fair from Thursday March 21st through Thursday March 28th.  Detailed information will be sent home and posted to our social media page.  Wednesday March 20th is the district wide spelling bee.  We are excited for Emory and Steven to represent us and know they will do well.  Lastly we are kicking off March Madness with our PBIS shootout this friday morning.  We are extending the voting through Thursday so there is still time to bring a dollar and vote for the staff member you want to see in the shootout.  We thank everyone for their participation in this and look forward to a fun time Friday morning.  I hope everyone is enjoying reading about Rufus and Kate in the Toothpaste Millionaire.

  • Student Handbooks

As we all know, we are living in a digital world and it makes sound financial sense to provide our resources in a digital platform when possible.  Handbooks have been a costly items for our school district over the years.  The school district has placed a digital copy of the handbook on the NRMS website, which is accessible to all parents who have internet connection.  We are still sending the Media Release, Procedures for Social Media, and Acknowledgement of Review of the Handbook signature forms for all students/parents to sign.  It is the responsibility of the parents to review the handbook online or by attaining a hard copy. Below is the link to the 2017-2018 Student Handbook.

  • Box Top   Box Tops

As your students have probably told you, our school will be participating in the Box Tops for Education™ program again this year. This program is an easy way to help raise money for our school. All you have to do is clip Box Tops for Education™ from food boxes, cans, jars, etc. and turn them into your child's teacher. Once we send in all our Box Tops, our school will receive a check from Box Tops for Education™ in December and can use this cash to buy the things we need. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Linda Carter (our Box Top Coordinator) at lpcarter@nrms.k12.nc.us or 252.451.2877. Our school receives two checks from the Box Tops for Education™ program each school year. If you turn in your Box Tops before October 28 you can help boost the amount of the first check we receive in December. Our school’s Box Tops have to be submitted by November 3 to be included in our December check. Hurry, clip your Box Tops and turn them in before the deadline. Thanks for your help! Thanks for your help!
