J.W. Parker Middle School Holiday Spirit Week
December 17-20, 2018
Since next week is our last week before Christmas break, we would like to have a little fun and show some Christmas Spirit. This will be for Staff & Students. Students will still have to wear their school uniforms on Monday. Tuesday students will wear their uniform pants with a red or green shirt. Thursday they will wear their uniform pants with their ugly sweater.
Monday-Christmas Socks & Hat Day
Tuesday- Red & Green Day
Wednesday- Santa Clause, Mrs. Clause & Helpers Day
Thursday- Ugly Sweater Day

The Christmas Toy Drive is sponsored by the SGA (Student Government). Donate new unwrapped toys and bring a smile to a child this holiday season.
Toy suggestions: Puzzles, Dolls, Tool Kits (for kids), Board Games, Action Figures, etc.

If you have a student at our school, and are short on food, please do not hesitate to come to Parker Middle School's Food Pantry. We are here to serve our school's community. You are welcome to grab a bag full of canned goods and non-parishables for your family.
We are located at 1500 East Virginia Street, Rocky Mount, NC

2019 Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratorical Competition
The purpose of the contest is to allow students the opportunity to verbally express themselves using Dr. Martin Lunter King, Jr. philosophy.
The theme for grade 6-8 is "At the Center of it All (Hope, Love, or Peace)

The parenting workshop meets once a week for six weeks on October 23, 30, November 6, 13, and 20. It starts at 9:00 am in the Media Center.
