Cardinal Weekly Announcement
I hope everyone was able to take time out today to think about or thank a veteran for their service. We have eleven days of school before getting out for Thanksgiving break and we need all our students to remain focused on learning. We have our second All Pro Dad breakfast tomorrow morning at 7:15 in our Media Center. We hope to have another great turnout for this and look forward to seeing everyone in the morning. With the cold weather coming in please be sure to write your child's full name in their sweaters, sweat shirts and jackets. We want to be able to return lost or forgotten clothing and can only do that with a name on the tag. Also please be sure if you drop off your child in the morning that you do so in the car line behind the cafeteria not in the front of the school. It is a safety hazzard to have students getting out of cars and walking up to the school unsupervised. Thank you all for your support of our school and we look forward to a great week.

Student HandbooksAs we all know, we are living in a digital world and it makes sound financial sense to provide our resources in a digital platform when possible. Handbooks have been a costly items for our school district over the years. The school district has placed a digital copy of the handbook on the NRMS website, which is accessible to all parents who have internet connection. We are still sending the Media Release, Procedures for Social Media, and Acknowledgement of Review of the Handbook signature forms for all students/parents to sign. It is the responsibility of the parents to review the handbook online or by attaining a hard copy. Below is the link to the 2017-2018 Student Handbook.
As your students have probably told you, our school will be participating in the Box Tops for Education™ program again this year. This program is an easy way to help raise money for our school. All you have to do is clip Box Tops for Education™ from food boxes, cans, jars, etc. and turn them into your child's teacher. Once we send in all our Box Tops, our school will receive a check from Box Tops for Education™ in December and can use this cash to buy the things we need. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Linda Carter (our Box Top Coordinator) at email@example.com or 252.451.2877. Our school receives two checks from the Box Tops for Education™ program each school year. If you turn in your Box Tops before October 28 you can help boost the amount of the first check we receive in December. Our school’s Box Tops have to be submitted by November 3 to be included in our December check. Hurry, clip your Box Tops and turn them in before the deadline. Thanks for your help!
