Good afternoon Spring Hope families,
This is Principal Craig Tedford with updates to our school closure plan. This message is a bit long, but I have a lot of information to share.I would like to start with a few points of good news. Our teachers have worked hard over the last two weeks to develop their remote learning programs. I am happy to say that we are prepared to begin blended digital and packet based instruction next week. All students will receive a packet and our 3-5 grade students will have the opportunity to check out their laptops. The packet pick up and device pick up schedule will be provided at the end of this messageA second point of good news is that the district will continue to recognize Spring Break as scheduled from 4/10- 4/19. During this period, students will not be expected to engage in work.At this time, we are not accepting instructional packets back at the school. However, your teachers will provide a process for you to submit proof of work digitally when needed.Although parents are not required to follow a set daily schedule, we have designed a modified learning schedule for those who wish to use at home. The daily schedule is as follows:English Language Arts 9:00-10:00Math 10:00-11:00Science and Social studies 11:00-12:00Special 12:00-1:00Your teachers are putting packages of resources to send home with the second set of instruction packets. The next pickup date will for the packets and all resources and devices for 3-5 will be as follows:

Message from the Principal:
The purpose of this message is to update you on changes and next steps during the school closure period. Please know that changes are occurring by the hour. We have decided to take the next few days to establish our procedures and processes for continuing instruction and the distribution of resources. We have multiple district level and local meetings scheduled over the next two days. We intend to share our finalized plan on Friday. Our staff will be working this week to reach out to our families and gather information that will help us design our instructional program. We anticipate being able to provide instructional materials beginning next week. Connect Ed calls and our social media sites will be used to provide more detailed information as it is available. Please know that we are wishing you and your family the best during this difficult time.
