    Parent Portal Resources:

    These Parent Portal Resources are here to inform parents how to find grades on the parent portal.  Also, there is a video to help parents to create a portal account if they do not have one currently.

    Technical Support:  

    If you are experiencing problems with your child's computer, click on the link below for a phone number to a help desk that is manned by technicians from 8:00am-4:00pm.  After hours, your child may put in an electronic help request and someone will get in touch with them the next business day.

    Wide Open School - A resource by Common Sense Media that provides links to resources to support all academic areas, virtual field trips, life skills, and emotional support...just to mention a few!

    Peacemakers is running a virtual support group for parents who have questions about academic work, creating a learning environment at home and managing behaviors.  There will be one teacher and one counselor available from 6:00pm-7:00pm Monday through Thursday.  You may join by computer or phone but if you join by phone you will need to add the ZOOM Cloud Meetings app to your phone(free).     Canvas Parent iOS Guide - How to download and use the Canvas Parent App to monitor student work that is assigned in Canvas.

    Remote Learning in NRMPS - Information and Resources for Parents and Students.  Academic resources are broken down by Elementary, Middle and High School.

    E-Books - Need a book...students can read E-Books to keep their minds sharp!

    • Destiny Library Collection - Students can select and read e-books that are available from EMS.  Select eBooks in the center of the page.  Scroll down to eBooks.  On the right hand side click on "See All".  You can filter on the left side or just scroll down to view the books.  Click on the titles to read a summary about the books.  Students can click on "Log In" to check out the book.  They will need to log in with their RapidIdentity username and password.
    • MYON - Another E-Book resource.  Username is "NYC" and the password is "read"  It is a free 60 day trial.  Most books are picture books.
    • Librarian Bookends - Book Recommendations and online literature resources categorized.
    • Junior Library Guild - Free access to JLG's Digital Online Reading Platform.
    • Tumblebooks - Free access through Braswell Memorial Library.  Scroll down toward the middle of the page and you will find several links to TeenCloud (6-12) and TumbleBooks (K-6) libraries.  These are links to e-books for all ages.
