Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools to Adjust Calendar in Anticipation of Teacher Absences on May 16

Nashville, NC – On May 16, the North Carolina Association of Educators will lead a “March for Students and Rally for Respect” in Raleigh.  Our school district anticipates mass teacher absences on that day. Therefore, the Nash-Rocky Mount Board of Education voted unanimously to adjust the school calendar closing for students and making May 16 an optional teacher workday.  Central office will operate on a regular schedule.  June 11 will become the last day of school for students.
